‘Is it moral to ‘keep people inline’ when they are victims of inequities?’
DEFINITION
An entity that enforces what actions are permissible in networks.
EXPLANATION
CLARIFICATIONS A Status Quo Enforcer may be an individual or a group. It could be an unofficial, implied position that is occupied via forceful or non-forceful methods. Their primary objective is to control the access and flow of valuables such as items, experiences, or status.
EXEMPLIFICATIONS Your ability to connect within networks could depend upon the approval of this entity. Oftentimes the suggested use of negative influence or force, is all that is required to achieve compliance. This position could be equal or unequal. However, society is currently ladened with unequal loopholes throughout its entire socioeconomic structure. Thus, the Status Quo Enforcer is usually unequal. In this case the Perpetuation of Inequality is being silently enforced. Hedging Ignorance is a common tactic. The influence over many people, or ‘Pull’ that everyone wants, is exactly what the Status Quo Enforcer has.
AFFIRMATIONS Status Quo Enforcer is a tangible aspect of society. It has been a factual part of it since the dawn of civilization.
CONSIDERATIONS Social Control Mechanisms are embedded deep into the subconscious. The Status Quo Enforcer, could have a similar effect, and may be able to control the psyche of their subjects. More commonly referred to as ‘ride their spirit’. The Status Quo Enforcer frequently offers their subjects binary options. Essentially, reprogramming their mind to accept inequities via the Coercion of Intent principle. Ironically, this position is boosted by the power invested in it via the respect of the network. People who don’t have adequate equal enforcement, and deem the network as necessary, may simply comply with the Status Quo Enforcer. Especially if it does not lead to any foreseeable and direct lethal consequences for their well-being. Usually, subjects are at least partially aware that an individual or group will suffer severe inequalities which may include bodily harm, due to the mass compliance of a network that has some immoral tendencies. Perhaps that individual or group may even lose their lives.
